Keith Olbermann is a buffoon - no Second Amendment logic on display

August 1, 2008

Just last week I transcribed a quote from Gavin Newsom, the mayor of San Francisco. He’s gotten quite a bit of heat from his quote that flat out blames the NRA for a triple murder in his illegal-alien-felony-loving city.

Wednesday night, Keith Olbermann - an anchor and commentator with his own show called Countdown on MSNBC - got into the act. He opined that the Second Amendment only covered arms that were in existence in the late 1700s when the Bill of Rights was passed. Read more

San Francisco mayor blames NRA for triple homicide

July 22, 2008

I’m questioning future visits to San Francisco until this idiot Gavin Newsom is out of office. He actually smiles as he says the NRA is against “anything that restricts the opportunity for a guy who gets cut off in traffic from pulling out a hand gun and almost assassinating an entire family, as was the case a few days ago in San Francisco, where three people were gunned down. That somehow that is appropriate and wonderful and that person celebrated his freedom to carry a loaded pistol”.

Is he nuts? He’s trying to pin the drive-by, mid-day, Sunday afternoon, gang-land style attack and murder of a father and his two sons on the National Rifle Association. Read more

SCOTUS Must Hold D.C. Council in Contempt - Put them in JAIL

July 17, 2008

Man does this just make me mad. The recent SCOTUS decision confirmed that the Second Amendment was an individual right, but the Washington D.C. government still refuses to get with the program. This morning Dick Heller went to city hall or where ever to apply for his permit and it was automatically rejected.

Heller’s pistol is a semi-automatic handgun that has a magazine that holds seven rounds. For those interested, I would guess that the weapon is a .40 or .45 caliber. They denied the application for no good reason at all, just to be a pain in the ass and illegally fight the SCOTUS decision.

He did not bring his weapon to the meeting since his lawyer figured there was a good chance he’d be arrested doing so. Read more

Great Business Opportunity Available in D.C.

June 30, 2008

I’ve been reading a bit about the Heller decision and how things will change for the better in the District. At this point, residents who qualify should be able to purchase a pistol for home protection. Personally, I do not think that a pistol is the best choice for a home defense weapon, but it’s better than nothing.

What options do D.C. residents have now that that the city can not block them from participating in their God given right to protect themselves and their families? You would not be surprised to learn that there is no place in the District to purchase a firearm.

What a great business opportunity! If someone approached me looking for funding to build a recreational indoor range that offered a wide selection of firearms, accessories and training opportunities; I may just head to the bank and close out that savings account earning 2 percent. Read more

Wal-Mart’s New Gun Sales Policy - Value? Nothing

April 15, 2008

Wal-Mart had to do something. Michael Bloomberg, mayor of New York City is on a crusade and taking tips from Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson on how to bully corporations for political gain. That’s simply what this is about - what looks good for elitists like Bloomberg.

I understand that Bloomberg and his like want to keep criminals from getting firearms, but we all know that criminals do not walk into Wal-Mart–or any other dealer–to buy their weapon of choice legally. This is a pure publicity stunt, specifically designed to get the world’s largest retailer to give up selling firearms and ammunition. Read more
