A close look at the federal tax burden of corporations and individuals
November 1, 2008
Are you better off than you were four years ago? It’s a question asked at Obama campaign events, and I’ve been thinking about different ways one can answer the question. We can measure economic success a number of ways – housing costs, gas prices, energy bills, retirement account balances and net worth are all measurable, as is the most thought of indicator, income.
Another – more unique – indicator of economic success during the last four years would be federal tax revenue collected. If you’ve been listening to Obama and the main stream media, we’re in the midst of the worst economy since the Great Depression where corporations get undeserved tax breaks, and the middle class have been screwed. They say the Bush tax cuts have failed, but what’s really failed is fiscal responsibility. Revenue is way up, spending is out of control.
Reagan didn’t need to be tested

After Biden’s comment about Obama being tested within the first six months if elected, I noted that the vice presidential candidate mentioned Kennedy – most likely referring to the Cuban missile Crisis – but didn’t mention other more recent presidents that were tested.
The case against the Obama presidency (Part 2)
October 22, 2008
After reviewing Hot Air’s post written by Guy Benson, Mary Katharine Ham and Ed Morrissey, it became apparent more needed to be done. It is a good review, but there are many more reasons you should not vote for Obama Nov. 4.
I called that post my shortest in history since I provided no analysis, but as this may be my longest. I’m not going to mention the unmentionables, but simply review Obama’s own plans and provide analysis to show nothing is different with Obama. There is no change to be found; it’s pure liberalism and populism with a different face.
I hope that you’ll take the time to read this post and forward it to everyone that you know. I thought about breaking it up into three posts, but it will be easier to distribute if there is only one link. It’s long. Deal with it. It’s important.
Paid too much for your house? O’Biden’s gotcha covered
October 3, 2008
There is a bunch of debate analysis available on the Web, but there is one answer that I wanted to review this morning. The question concerned the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act, which set specific standards concerning the ability to file Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy.
O’Binden wants to allow courts to adjust both the interest rate on mortgages as well as lower the total principal you owe on your loan if you’re having trouble paying your debts. Who the heck do they think they are? Who’s going to pay the difference?
Biden won’t let Obama take his guns – or ours
September 20, 2008
My first thought when I heard about Biden’s statement concerning firearm ownership was – I’ll bet my last dollar he was not in San Fransisco, Seattle, Chicago or New York. No way. Biden stated, “I guarantee you Barack Obama ain’t taking my shotguns, so don’t buy that malarkey.”
Biden spoke at the United Mine Workers of America’s annual fish fry in Castlewood, Virginia, just about as far away from Washington D.C. you can get while still staying in the state. Both the NRA and the Gun Owners of America give Biden and Obama F ratings.
