One of the favorite Demo talking points is that trickle down economics don’t work.  The fact is that trickle down economics always work because it’s part of the free market.  The question is, “What do you want to have trickling down?” If you lower taxes, benefits trickle down.  If you raise taxes, misery trickles down. Obama’s program of increased capital gains taxes and increased taxes on businesses and corporations will cause misery to trickle down in the form of reduced wages and benefits, lost jobs and a decrease in economic activity.  One of the worst things to tax is capital because it is the engine of economic activity.  By taxing it you dampen investment, restrict capital formation and remove a portion of it from the economy with every tax.  Windfall profits taxes trickle down misery in another way.  A special new tax on oil companies directly removes capital assets from companies in which pensions, 401K’s and IRA’s are invested. Seniors on fixed income are slammed and stolen from by liberal windfall taxes. 
Obama’s “trickle up theory of economics” is just naive nonsense.
