Flash Based Electric 3D Engine

June 30, 2008

Pretty cool stuff. Nice calming music, and you can’t crash. It’s kind of like a Flash flight simulator. You can open it up at full screen and just move the mouse to the left, right, up and down to “fly” around the snow-capped mountains.

Great Business Opportunity Available in D.C.

June 30, 2008

I’ve been reading a bit about the Heller decision and how things will change for the better in the District. At this point, residents who qualify should be able to purchase a pistol for home protection. Personally, I do not think that a pistol is the best choice for a home defense weapon, but it’s better than nothing.

What options do D.C. residents have now that that the city can not block them from participating in their God given right to protect themselves and their families? You would not be surprised to learn that there is no place in the District to purchase a firearm.

What a great business opportunity! If someone approached me looking for funding to build a recreational indoor range that offered a wide selection of firearms, accessories and training opportunities; I may just head to the bank and close out that savings account earning 2 percent. Read more

Wesley Clark Throws Obama Under the Bus

How else can you explain it? Four years ago, the Democrat elite were saying that only someone with prior military experience could bring the United States out of the at-war condition we were in. Of course Wesley Clark was one of those candidates, but as it turned out, John Kerry reported for duty and pretty much fell on his French-looking face.

Yesterday, Clark visited with Bob Schieffer on Face the Nation and tossed Obama under the bus. Clark inferred that McCain’s military experience - although noble - did not add up to the executive experience needed to be commander and chief. He went on to argue that being a senator and serving on the Senate’s Armed Services Committee for years does not qualify him either.

Just to clarify, Clark is supporting Barack Obama. Read more

French Plan to Regulate Line Dancing

June 29, 2008

When it comes to stories out of France, you really do not have to try hard to find a good laugh. Although the countries new president seems to have his head on straight, that does not mean that the civil servants even have a brain.

Country line dancing has become a big hit in the wine-loving country. They are even wearing the Stetson hats and Justin boots. They may not dance exactly the way country-loving folks might do here in the states - God forbid - but line dancing has become so big that French officials think it should be regulated like soccer and rugby.

What?

Slavery and that Dubious Notion of White Guilt

June 29, 2008

In the Boston Globe, Foon Rhee recounts that Ralph Nader - independent candidate for president - told the Rocky Mountain News that Obama is trying to “talk white” and to appeal to “white guilt.”

White guilt. That’s a phrase used sparingly by the media, but is de rigueur for inclusion in any spoken or written sentence mentioning race on college and university campuses. That covers just about every sentence spoken or written on college and university campuses. Read more
