The writing staff for Conservative247.org - which is now down to the power of one - is looking for writers to contribute to this site. I’m getting a bit busy with work and now that the sun is out, I’m not able to post as frequently as I would like. Would you like to contribute?
It’s really quite easy to post here, but keep in mind that it doesn’t pay anything (yet) but the goal of the site is to be a primer for conservatives, so it has value beyond words. It’s also fun to see visitors from other popular blogs link to your posts and quote you!
Ideas for posts come from two areas. You an either write an original piece about a conservative subject, or you can provide commentary on a current event, news item or blog post and tie it into conservative concepts. Click on one of the links for examples. Read more
The Politics of Class Envy

The Kennedy Fortune is Safe

We’ve all heard about the estate tax, aka the death tax, which is a tax that the federal government levies when assets are transferred from a deceased person to someone else. So how does the super-rich work within the law to protect their family assets?
To be clear, the U.S. tax code is written so if the assets are transferred to a spouse or a charitable organization there is no tax. Also, there are credits against the tax that ensure assets up to $2 million dollars that are transferred to children, as an example, are not taxed. Read more
Nanny State - No More Tag at School in McLean
April 15, 2008
This has happened before and it will happen again. Playing tag at school is just one of those physical activities that are too “aggressive”. Idiots. Pee-Wee football is pretty darn aggressive and since some kids loose, maybe we need to ditch that too.
We are breeding and educating a bunch of sheep. Just hope that there are enough sheepdogs to take care of everyone. Read more
