Tolerant left heads to court – demands private business change

As I was driving into work this morning, something on the radio got me thinking about how the left likes to use the judicial system to reverse the will of the people. It’s a pretty solid tactic if you can get aways with it since instead of having a normal discussion and a vote on an issue, one only need to convince – or coerce – between one and nine justices to your side of the issue.

How to make a safe school bus

The federal government will release new rules today requiring seat belts for smaller school buses and higher seat backs for larger buses. What it comes down to is the government regulations requiring belts in every bus would cost $100 million annually and save one life per year.

School buses are safe. Can they be made safer? Yes, but you need to realize that riding a school bus is the safest way to get to school. Much safer than driving a car, riding a bike or walking to school.

Zero tolerance alert: student wears wrong shirt

Here we go again with another ZTA. A high school student in Dos Alos, California wore a shirt to school that the administration did not like. The assistant principal deemed that the shirt violated the dress code, falling into the category of promoting a specific race, culture or ethnicity.

The shirt was tie-dyed red, white and blue – sort of, but not really representing the U.S. flag – with the words “United States of America, Washington, D.C.” on the front. The student had to remove the shirt and replace it with a bright yellow T-shirt that said “DCV: Dress Code Violator” during the school day.
