State legislatures really know how to lead
November 21, 2008
Early this week, I wrote about how corporate leaders were changing their business plans to take advantage of government handouts. Everyone is getting in line, and you really can’t blame them for doing so. If they don’t come and ask for the cash, someone else will.
Word from Malkin that a local department store is asking for a bailout and the Pennsylvania state legislature wants them to have it. At the same time, they are accepting their COLA pay raise this year.
Congress sucks, but my guy is great – he brings home the bacon

Of course, this particular Republican is from Michigan, one of the many elected leaders from that state demanding a federal bailout of the auto industry. During an interview with Neil Cavuto on Fox News, Joe Knollenberg, a Republican congressman from Michigan, told Cavuto it’s not his money.
Republicans like Knollenberg loose elections because of policies like this, and he did.
Bailout legislation impossible to read
October 1, 2008
I don’t have a law degree. I don’t have 12 hours to read the full text of the bailout bill that the Senate is debating right now. The average person should be able to read this crap – or at least use the Ctrl+f key to do a keyword search in the damn thing.
Pelosi displays she is not a leader
September 17, 2008
Talk about throwing a hissy fit and showing zero leadership. According to Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), none of the current financial problems are the fault of Democrats. None. Is she kidding me? This is like the coach of the team loosing a game and saying that the offensive coaching staff had nothing to do with the loss – putting all of the blame on the defense.
Wah, wah, wah. … Take your damn game ball and go home Pelosi.
Republicans Block Fuel Price Increase Proposed by Democrats
June 10, 2008
At least that’s how the headline should read. Liberals have not learned anything in decades, all they know how to do is tug at the heartstrings of the working family and promote feel-good legislation that does nothing.
Point in fact; when you increase the tax burden on a business, the business is forced to make decisions. The business owners and leaders can choose to pay those extra expenses directly from profits (screw the shareholders or business owners), raise prices (screw the consumer) or cut compensation and benefits (screw the employees).
